We are seeking applications for our Spring 2009 expansion of our free.baffin.ca wireless network. We will be expanding into the following areas: New Subdivision (above arctic college); Road to Nowhere subdivision; Upper Tundra Valley; Apex.
What we are looking for is:
1) anyone who is or would like to be connected to the free.baffin.ca wireless network,
2) they own a house or would be able to gain permission to mount a small antenna on their house or building.
3) would be willing to be a distribution point for the free wireless network in their area.
If you meet these prerequisits then we would install a distribution and backhaul system at your premise to extend the range of the network. What are the benefits to you? well firstly you would have an excellent connection to the wireless network pretty much everywhere in your home through built-in wireless devices. Your Neighbours will thank you for helping to bring them the same.
The more people we get using the network the more we can improve the network through higher value sponsorship and advertising revenue, and the more services that can be available on the network.
Following our Spring expansion we will begin offering VoIP services on the free.baffin.ca network, areas services by the network will have access to local, long-distance, and internet telecommunications services at very affordable rates.
